It is clear that this app does not recognize the benefit of chronological order…..
This is my main gripe when it comes to this app. Best I can tell it sorts posts by last engagement, so if something from 3 years ago was liked or commented on by someone it boosts it to the top of the feed. Which makes NO sense.
Word
Right?
If all of us provide feedback about this, it might help the developers decide to change it.
I offered that as feedback and this was what support said.
“Thanks so much for the feedback.
For point 1- posts are in chronological order however replies to posts then go to the top. This way, a high engagements post is always visible.”
Not sure that completely accurate either lol.
Correction..post went to the top of my feed so guess that’s how it is!
Hi! I am aware that another user mentioned this but to clarify any misunderstandings, posts are similar to other platforms in the way that a most recent response moves the post to the top. This makes important conversations stay on top of the feed to make sure users don't miss them, so the more popular the post, the more visible it will be if there is consistent engagement
That really doesn't clarify anything. The majority of people don't care about a post from weeks or months ago and especially last year. They're dead
Thank you for the explanation. Still kinda frustrating though
This is how the posts in my Facebook communities are sorted, but there is also the option to re-sort by chronological order, which I find nice because often important posts get lost or pushed down among the other posts that already have high engagement with reactions and comments. That'd be a super cool feature to have here!
It’s a free wonderful ap. Enjoy the wisdom. It does not matter 5 years or 1 day.
That's how a lot of old forums used to be.
It’s laaaame
Agreed
Wah wah wah

Yep. It's like that.
The benefit of chronological order posts is that the user knows when they are caught up and haven't missed any. This app doesn't let you narrow down to posts by friends, so I miss posts by my friends.
Also, if someone is struggling or needs help, it might get buried by more popular posts.
If we provide feedback to the app they may take it under consideration.
Exactly! Thank you Lisa:sparkles:

I know..... Makes no sense to me.
Just saw a post with someone asking for help in early sobriety, feeling lost, no friends, etc .... It was from over a year ago.
Nothing I can offer today will help that person a year ago
