The benefit I get is rarely more than the work I put into recovery meaning I continue to invest effort into my recovery to sustain it. I don’t settle for good enough recovery. The benefit overall may be greater than the work I put into my recovery if the benefit of my recovery network is taken into account.

It’s not just about me living with drugs or alcohol. Someone else helped me and I’m willing to help others.
