I haven’t posted in a few days. I’m reminded the last few days of my mortality and the second part of the 1st Tradition. Personal Recovery depends upon AA unity. In the last week, a couple more friends were lost to the disease of addiction. If not for the fellowship in the rooms of AA/NA/CA, I would be facing my own mortality on a daily basis. Our lives are fragile, and this disease is incurable, progressive and FATAL. Today I am grateful for my sobriety, for my fellowship and for the opportunity to never have to suffer as I did anymore. Life definitely has its challenges, however severe they may be, but thanks to my program I don’t have to face it alone.
