You can do it.:slightly_smiling_face: Days of ritualistic behavior can be a pain in the limbic system.

Same. Have been feeling really good lately but got some strong cravings tonight. Not so much for the alcohol but just to go OUT. Finally with the pandemic restrictions lifting, I just want to go party.

I was really wanting wine… I cracked open the n/a wine and it did the job for me :raised_hands:t2: I am very new to this and have not been out in a long time but I can imagine eventually I am going to want to be back out in the scene. I will not do it until I am strong enough in my sobriety tho! Maybe try to put on some really loud music and dance?! :woman_shrugging:t3:

Totally! I had some sweets and got lost in a book. Was asleep by 11. And woke up this morning feeling fresh and ready for the weekend…very different than a hangover. I like the idea of putting on music and dancing! I think I’ll host a little dance party with my daughters tonight.

Long term solution: a regular Friday night meeting with a group that dines together afterwards. Perfect way to start the weekend.

That sounds cool! I’ll check it out

Do what I do go out with your friends and the designated driver and make fun of them when they are drunk

I think social life will look very different. No over, just different. My friendships around booze were barely friendships - realizing now that what seemed like depth was actually shared addiction.

I’m realizing that as well. Good point. Just need to look at things differently. It’s definitely a reason to make new friends and meet new ppl.

For sure! Sober people are out there! We just didn’t meet them yet cause we were busy drinking.
