That's rough brother. Take it from someone who was drunk all the way through the death of my mom and grieving period after. As tough as staying sober is, knowing you weren't able to feel the loss in the moment and having to relive that is no trade up.
Keep your sobriety in the forefront.
It'll be painful either way, but your mom would be proud I'm sure
