It’s still just 24 hours, even after 13 years…
Every day brings struggles. Every day contains sufficient struggles to warrant a drink, or sufficient success to warrant celebration, with a drink.
I have been fortunate. I have not found it NECESSARY to drink or use any mind-altering substances since 4/24/09.
But I have been tempted. Even now I think about drinking frequently, but I have seen that I can survive without it. My ex wife moved to Utah during her own struggles with drugs and alcohol, and I am thankfully able to have my sons full time.
I have a lot to be thankful for, and I just want to let you all know that even the old/mid timers think of drinking, and that there is hope.
