It took me years to understand I can’t get sober in my own that I needed to Humble myself put my Pride to the side and get help. I thank each and everyone of you all to come share your stories, the ups and downs to help me stay focused and sober. May GOD BLESS EVERYONE ON HERE TO STAY SOBER! Amen

Nope. We can’t do this alone. Need each other and a power greater than ourselves to help us along. Pretty easy if you think about it. Pray when you wake to make it through the day. He gives you others throughout that day to make it. Then thank him for those that did help. Then wake up and repeat. Daily. We are here for you and each other with a higher power guiding us all. Works every time. Throw that pride and ego away and you got recovery. Works if you work it.

That’s what I did.

I REALLY didn’t want to go to AA. I quit several addictions at once and stayed sober for 6 months… but I was miserable. It wasn’t until I started going to meetings that I really started getting better. You’re right, we can’t do it alone.

I’m in outpatient I do conference calls 3 days go in 1 day (urine test). I’m going to start going to meetings there. They only have 1 day meetings.

Congrats! I almost wrote a very similar post. I just came to the same conclusion. It's humbling and liberating at the same time.
