It was a close call

Tuesday morning I managed to pull myself up by the bootstraps and get myself cleaned up, get me a shower and head over to the local emergency department. I was extremely scared. It’s all like I was knocking on deaths doorstep. I don’t know how long I’ve been drinking, but I know I’ve been puking up blood.

I was truly scared. This is not my first time I want it to be my last. I wanted to be my last for the rest of my fūcking life. I don’t think I’m alone when I say this because withdraws are like self inflicted torture.

I really don’t need anybody to tell me to find a sponsor or go find a meeting or go to AA.

I meant to cognitive behavioral therapy. I need to smart recovery. I just need to be more smarter. Y’all know what I mean. It’s a culmination of a bunch of life’s gives and goes. Throw me a big peace sign in. Give me a high five.

Life is a garden, dig it.

How's your liver function? And I get how u feel. I need my gallbladder out but I thought I was dying. I was worried for my liver (it's ok) but some people get scared straight.
My sons stomach lining was inflamed because of drinking, smoking and poor diet. I told him his body is warning him. It's a chance to get better.

:v:

I thought you wanted a peace sign or high five? My bad. Seems like you know what to do and that you were looking for a place to vent. Sorry if I offended

Oh know, my bad. Your right. I still have brain fog. I appreciate peace :v: signs.

Sounds like you know what to do. You got this, man. Reach out for support if needed.

Good to hear. Hope you are healthy and find peace in sobriety!

Mr Tony

I'm a straight shooter so here goes.

Sounds like you have gastritis. It's an inflammation of the stomach due to drinking too much alcohol. You have ulcers that are bleeding and that's why you're puking up blood.

People who have gastritis usually have liver damage too. I've been there and I can tell you that it will get worse if you keep going down the path you're going. The good news is, you never have to drink again.

Consequently, you say you want sobriety but you seem to want to put conditions on what advice you will accept. That sure sounds like self will run riot to me.

And personally, I will tell you what I tell my sponsees. I don't care whether you're offended or not. If I offend you, then all I can say is..... be offended!

I'm in the business of helping people that want to get sober And sometimes this requires telling them things that they may not want to hear or may not like to hear. If they don't want to hear it, that's not my problem. That's their decision. And you can make any decision you want as long as you can live with the consequences.

In case your ears are open just a little to hearing some constructive advice, let me give you something that created a willingness in me to take the advice of my fellow recovered alcoholics and begin my journey of recovery for which I will be eternally grateful.

Men and women drink essentially because they like the effect produced by alcohol. The sensation is so elusive that, while they admit it is injurious, they cannot after a time differentiate the true from the false. To them, their alcoholic life seems the only normal one.

(Listen here)
They are restless, irritable and discontented

unless they can again experience the sense of ease and comfort which comes at once by taking a few drinks—drinks which they see others taking with impunity. After they have succumbed to the desire again, as so many do, and the

phenomenon of craving develops,

they pass through the well-known stages of a spree, emerging remorseful, with a firm resolution not to drink again. This is repeated over and over, and unless this person can experience

an entire psychic change

there is very little hope of his or her recovery.”

If you want to know more about what worked for me and you really want sobriety, you can reach out to me any time you like and I will be here.

Support here man. I don't know much I'm only 2 days but I support you. You can do it!
