I've been sober for months from meth and I relapsed yesterday. I feel horrible about it and I don't want to do it again. I also may have a drug test Thursday evening and I'm worried if it will be out of my system by then or not? Any advice?
You're not going to be sober for the rest of your life in one day. Just relax. Stay sober just for today. Then just keep doing that everyday. You got this. We believe in you.
Thank you
I'm trying to pick myself up and go forward again. Now I'm worried about a drug test thursday evening which is making it harder. I should've known better. I hope I never do this again. I just hope I pass but I'm gonna keep trying
Fist thing is you admit you relapsed. So that’s a win. The drug test will be what it is. Our actions all have consequences… some unfortunate ones at that. Have you been working a program? Have a sponsor or support person you can confide in? I would do both. I wish you good luck.
Whether you pass or not on Thursday doesn’t change what you need to do today. Hang tough in the present! You’ll be ok
Dust yourself off and get back to it
I'm trying. The worrying is making it harder
Im gonna be honest here. I have a sponsor but she is good friends with my probation officer and I think she will tell on me
She may. That’s the “rigorous honesty” and “accountability” that’s talked about in AA and NA. If it means you go back in because of it wait until your drop, but either way you will eventually need to tell your sponsor. Holding it back will eat you up inside. The lies always do. Good luck, I truly hope it all works out for tou
Unfortunately we relapse. Get to a meeting and share about it. I would suggest you do it with a Big Book guru. AA works. I find NA there are only a portion of the people actually are clean. Be very careful.
