I've been wanting to use real bad. The last couple days, I'm a little bit disabled, so I can't even walk the block to the meetings. I don't have any friends here and man. It's just really hard today

Hang in there friend. Remember you are stronger than you think. Take it second by second it will pass. Try a breathing exercise to distract yourself.

Thank you, I'll do that.

At some of the meetings I've gone to at Recovery Club Houses, there is a phone. People at these clubs wpild answer the phone before, during and after the meeting. Perhaps you can ask for a ride?

Im also disabled, right above the knee amputation. I also am disabled from end stage kidney disease. I see folks get government assisted rides whether it is a paid ride share or public transportation.

I'm a believer that I can't stay sober on my own. I need a Higher Power, a Group, and do other things to maintain sobriety day by day. I was told if I put in as much effort to get a drink in working a program I have a better shot at staying sober.

It has worked, one day at a time, for 16 years.

Thank u, i was trying to find the number to our clubhouse, and I just wasn't able to find it yesterday. But the man is working on my car today at the shop. So hopefully we can get it back to me. This next week that would be good. But thank you so much for your words of wisdom.

Stay strong! Second by second and day by day! You can conquer your addiction! I believe in you🫶🏼 it helps me to meditate or watch a tv show from my childhood that brings me comfort and doesn’t trigger me in anyway<3

Please don't I promise this to shel pass
