I've stopped drinking many times after long term, extremely heavy alcohol use. It's been 15 days and I am still in constant extreme states of anxiety and panic attacks and very tired. I've heard it gets worse after every time you quit and go back out, but this time it's insane. Any tips or suggestions ? So many things trigger me, but due to health and wanting to live a good life, I can and will not go back to drinking.

I just got done with a Zoom masterclass by Annie Grace. One thing that I got from her is connecting the thing that you are addicted too, to something you would never want. That has helped, every time I think about a glass of Chardonnay, I connect it to eating liver. Then I just get grossed out, and wine leaves my mind. I hope this helps. Your goal is to have a long healthy life, what systems are you going to put in place to reach that goal?

So far I finally got a cheap insurance and have a Dr appt coming up. It's the anxiety that is killing me. All day every day and I can't sleep but maybe an hour at a time. I've been homeless as well so whenever I can actually start functioning again, I want to work my rear off like I used to.
Get a RX for vistril it’s a clean form of benedryl it helps with the anxiety so does gabapentin

I've tried vistaril and atarax and they don't do anything for anxiety, just make me sleepy.

Don't take that first drink! The phenomenon of craving will kick in and you won't be able to stop. Get a sponsor pray to your higher power and you can make it!

Go check itself into a detox center they will give u meds to help… u only stay as long as u need to

For my recovery they gave me CAMPRAL. It worked.

I detoxed at a hospital due to having seizures at my house. I'm 18 days sober so I would have thought most of this would be gone by now. I saw a Dr today and they prescribed me some meds and then I'm doing a makeup of blood work and other tests in two weeks.

I was prescribed Ativan and Paxil. I tried doing a google search, but I have been told by one Dr I have alcoholic hepatitis and another said cirrhosis. Does anyone know how safe these would be for someone with liver disease ?
I was given Ativan during detox and Klonopin for the first 2 months after - that got me through the first months and helped me sleep. Not sure what effect it has on liver disease.
