A long time ago....three years in to sobriety for me my wife and I split and I was lost.
I worked in a bedding manufacturing setting and my ex was texting me while I was working. It was late at night and I was starting to lose my focus. Instead I became reactionary to her every word. I started throwing wrenches and screaming at silos and pipes. Really losing my mind.... When at at 3 AM on a cold wintery night in Pennsylvania. My new support group buddie who also worked nights at a hospital....called me because he was compelled to do so by his HP.
It totally made me come back down to earth and I was able to stop thinking about me me me and I I I. I was shook at coincidence. Only to learn that it wasn't a coincidence. It was a gift from AA.
I only hope to return the favor someday like it was with me. Out of the blue and unwarranted.
