Today I went to a job party and normally i would have been more drunk then anyone ,but I succeeded to not give in to drinking or take drugs . I was the only one sober . Everyone one seemed drunk and tipsy and i realised i gained so much by choosing sobriety... I am proud of myself.

I just wanna say that your message is very powerful. It’s an amazing accomplishment to be able to go to an event where there may be substances, and you still chose not to use. This is just a good reminder for me that I can eventually be around it again without letting it control me. Thank you.

Thank you Rachel . I beleive that when you feel like you are gaining something in it and viewing it as something precious its easier to cherish and honour it. Its not always easy but if we see it as a gift or privilege even that we deserve that we get to be sober i find it way easier to do. This sure helps me seeing it this way.
