Would be one year sober today, but I am a statistic of those who failed in their first year. I’ve been able to be very introspective the past year, both during my 11 months sober and from this time off the wagon.
Being sober just feels better.
Here we go again.
Welcome back Bridget! You were missed. We are happy to have you back. Sending you virtual hugs…

You got this
Hello Bridget, I was also a 1 yr stat more than once. I'm at 14 months and counting. I think what helped this time is I got educated on addiction. Try reading Alcohol Explained by William Porter. It's easy to read and understand what alcoholic does to keep you addicted.
Gillian Tietz has a website, podcast and YouTube called Sober Powered. She is a recovering and discusses anything you can think of related to alcoholism. Best of luck reach out anytime
Thanks, Charlie. I will check it out!
Just keep moving forward. What did you learn from your relapse? Use it to stay sober this time. You've got this!!!
Oh, Michigan, so sorry to hear this!
but happy to hear you are positive and have bounced back.
Thank going to check it out also.
It is called active recovery, progress not perfection!
You may lose your day count but you never lose the experience/perspective and tools you’ve acquired ! Best wishes

Welcome back. This door is always open that’s the fantastic part
You know what you need to do now
The “MIRACLE IS”… you made it back! God’s grace humbles me often. O2-28-2OO2
I try to remind myself how terrible I felt relying on alcohol. I was more miserable when I wasn’t drinking than when I was. I know I feel great today because I’m not poisoning my body, at no point have I thought to myself I can drink like a normal person and go back out. I know I’ll end up right back where I was, staring down the bottom of a bottle full of regret and shame. Learn from your mistakes and let them shape who you want to be, not who you once were.
Well like they say.. Practice makes perfect!
Dust yourself off, an climb..dont look back..you got this.
