Just Breathe

The computer goblins were at it again.That email I worked so hard on disappeared. Instead of panicking, I breathed in through my nose and out through my mouth, slowly. I closed the program and reopened it. Magically the email reappeared.When confronted with panic, I acknowledge the feeling then breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth two times. This returns me to an even keel. Research shows that slowly breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth helps to reduce blood pressure and stress.
I also sometimes fall prey to being too happy or excited. I have learned that it is better for me to simply stay in a mindful state as much as possible throughout the day.This keeps me on a very nice plain of serenity.

TODO: Today, if I feel stress,I am not going to go into a pity party because of the challenge. Rather I will welcome it. I will own my feeling, then I will remember the benefits of keeping an even keel as I slowly breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth.
