Just finished reading “This Naked Mind” by Annie Grace.
If you’ve ever wondered if you are drinking too much or if you are worried you won’t be happy without alcohol, this book is for you! You don’t have to consider yourself an alcoholic to read it. There is no judgment or shame in this!!!
I used to wonder how people got through each day without drinking, because I couldn't remember a day when I hadn't.
One day at a time as they say.
Such a good book. I love the switching of the mind relating to alcohol, not that one can’t have it, but that one doesn’t want it.
Yes!!
Switching from “I don’t get to drink” to “I don’t have to drink”
I’m going to order this book! I try to think that way when things get tough or I feel like something has been taken away from me. Switching instead to I let go of something that didn’t serve any positive purpose in my life is so uplifting. I also like the quote: Sobriety is not an anchor, it’s a pair of wings
Love that!!!!
Yes!! I'm actually going thru her program now based on the book! It's science based and a great support system. Almost 2 months sober now and not one craving!!
That’s amazing!
Thanks for posting. Always on the lookout for new quit lit.
I loved this one. I read it when I first decided to look into my drinking. Doing this “alcohol experiment” was the first time I’d ever gone more than 3 days without drinking in like 12 years. I always recommend it to anyone who chats me up about sobriety and looking into changing their relationship with alcohol.
That’s really awesome!
