Just found out yesterday my mom tried to OD for the 3x this year! She’s in the hospital still, detoxing from alcohol AND today is her birthday ;( I Don’t know how I feel, don’t know how to come about it, most def feel further away now from sobriety now which I’m afraid of

If she’s “trying” then you can commit her legally to protect her from herself. I don’t expect they would release her for a while if this is the 3rd time this year she’s tried. It would be negligent on the hospital’s part. 3x’s and it’s only June. Sorry for your situation.

If it’s possible to commit her, I would go that route. This is heavy and so very difficult. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

Sorry to hear that my daughter tried last year and it broke me. I didn’t make it through sober. I wish you and your mother the best.
