Just got home from NA meeting, was pretty good, got a few more numbers from other addicts with lots of clean time, it was great getting hugs and encouraging words from people. Although the sponsor of who drove me obviously was not liking either me or me being honest about not stopping weed yet. What you want me to lie? That’s not going to happen if I don’t need to protect myself, I will not lie. I’m terrible at it

You be you! A lot of people have 
as part of their recovery process. I’m of the mind it’s neither good nor bad. I’ve also had people tell me I’m not sober bc I take (a few) meds for my very real and very severe depression… like, dude I wouldn’t be around without them! You be you.

You are 100% correct. If someone doesn’t want to be around me because of it, that is there issue not mine
Lying is the thing you get to leave behind as you sober up. Don’t do it! As they say, one day at a time. Booze first and in time you can address weed. Or not. The purists think weed is equally as destructive. I personally don’t hold that opinion even though I don’t use it. Hopefully nobody attacks me for my comment!

you are right, except I don’t really have a problem with alcohol. I rarely ever drink. But I think I am going to need to just keep it to myself and not get a sponsor. Do the steps with my friend I feel more comfortable with.
