I just joined the gym to get myself out of the house and not isolated at home. I’m early in sobriety but started dating too soon. He doesn’t know I have a drinking problem and order his wine each time he takes me out to dinner and I drink and I break my sobriety I try not to drink on the days that I don’t see him or before I see him so I don’t smell like booze I’m definitely drinking way less than I would I would drink in the morning and all day long so now I’m trying to get sober but I don’t know how to tell him
Great that you are getting out of the house. I pray that you find the help you need. If you really want it, I recommend you take some of the suggestions that have been suggested on this app the past few weeks (AA, NA, EDA, TLC, SMART Recovery, etc). You will get better when you decide you want it more than your disease wants you to be sick. The disease is in your head telling you all the wrong things. Stop listening to it, and become willing to listen to the suggestions that will help you to recover. Sorry if that sounds harsh. I don’t mean to be, but I don’t know how to say it any nicer. We all want to see you get healthy and be happy. There are so many great ladies on here that are here to support you when you are ready. Please get help

I was sober six months last year at this time and got with a girl who drank daily but she never drank as much as I did I was and am a around the clock drunk it never works unless they will work with u so here I am a year later in worse shape than if I would have just stayed sober and alone for the time being
The gym won’t help you get sober but that’s good that you’re going. Didn’t we have the same talk about this guy last week?
I have been told and I tend to agree that being in any relationship is not a good idea when working on your sobriety for the 1st year. You need to focus solely on yourself.
Work on your sobriety first for a year.90 meetings in 90 days .
