Just recently reached my 1 year in sobriety. It’s great but I’m still struggling with wanting to use and have isolated myself because most people I know are addicts and I don’t have sober friends

Welcome, Korey. The Phoenix app will tell you sober events. That helps. I've posted sobera activity lists. Will try to find and repost.

I'm disabled n getting out isnt always an option. Can send you zoom meeting info for bout any hr any day.

Several programs I've found helpful and knock none, CR, AA, NA, SMART Recovery... to name a few. Anything else, just ask.

Hi Korey. I struggle with this same issue. Spending basically my entire life ( started drinking & using at 12-13 years old) Everyone in my life has substance abuse issues. Not knowing how or where to make sober healthy still remains a problem for me. I have made a few new relationships by going to meetings etc but no connections like the unhealthy ones I've made in my life.

Korey, we do NOT have to struggle anymore. We MUST have a plan of action or our disease will kill us.
Being that you are a year sober, here’s a checklist of that plan that is completed the first year.
• Read the first 164 pages of the Big Book :ballot_box_with_check:
•Worked all 12 steps with a sponsor :heavy_check_mark:
•Pray & meditate each morning and night. Throughout the day :heavy_check_mark:
• Read meditations each morning such as Daily Reflections & 24 hrs :heavy_check_mark:
•Call your sponsor and or another member with long term sobriety daily✔️
•Ask for help :heavy_check_mark:
No less than 3 meetings a week :heavy_check_mark:
Long term sobriety is available for each of us if we do the work. If you cannot check off each of those suggestions then get busy. The rewards are great and the promises will come true. Best wishes

Please read my post. Praying you take my suggestions. A beautiful peaceful life is ahead of you if you do the work.
