Just relapsed again.. story of my life. Have to keep trying can’t let this addiction win. I woke up this morning sober so im grateful for that.
Every day is a new day congratulations on youre new day of sobriety
Relapse isn’t a failure
Get to a meeting, and find people in sobriety that have what you want- and it’ll happen. You got this man. Congrats on waking up sober! That’s huge
Thru every relapse we learn keep fighting and use knowledge .gained . Ding ding time to fight again. Demons don't win in the final battle
Your not alone!
Great job just always take one day at a time I’ve been in recovery for years and have had relapses but today I’m clean and sober and that’s great work
Just keep getting back up. Find out what lead to your relapse and try to change or do things differently. Sometimes recovery is about learning, getting to know ourselves better etc. Welcome back, we got this!
Never give up thing will get better
Just keep getting back up. You’ve got this!
Hello
I am thoroughly convinced prayer has always worked for me. It’s when I don’t humble myself I get in trouble. Prayer I believe is the key to changing my perception. I’ve never heard of anyone relapsing after reaching out to other alcoholics called their sponsor prayed read something out of the bb 12&12 went to a meeting then got drunk or high. Doesn’t happen! I know you want to stay sober because you’re here. Hang in and dont give in to that first drink. Love you brother
In the last three years I struggled I got 26 months of being clean one day at a time
A new start is an accomplishment. I don't know if our relapsing isn't part of a grander plan. We certainly learn from it. Go easy on yourself!
Someone told me it’s not about the destination it’s about the journey getting there. So no matter how many times this happens try to remember the purpose of doing it. You’re doing amazing.
Sometimes we forget and relapses are necessary to help us see what we don’t want. It was like riding a bike in the beginning. I’d fall and get back up and try again. The ride is much smother now that I have been doing the work. No falls for 2 years 7months. I would suggest meetings everyday for 90 days. It’s a good habit to get into. Those meetings taught me how to stay clean. Good luck my friend hope to see you achieve your goals.
Are you in a sober community? I’ve heard so often from professionals true recovery happens in community. Check out celebrate recovery. It’s a great program. I also hear addiction is a disease of isolation.
Congratulations on WAKING up!! CAUSE it's NOT always the CASE. Do YOU have a SPONSOR/MENTOR? if NO?, it is SUGGESTED that YOU find ONE today.
I couldn’t stay sober without a program (AA for me, but there are other options like SMART recovery). Outside accountability helps so much.
You can do it.
