Just wanted to say to everyone in here I’m proud of you all if nobody told you so. It’s not easy getting and staying sober. I myself was sober for a few years but relapsed after my son died. And it took me 4 years to come clean again because I have not grieved properly. I checked myself into a 28 day detox/rehab back in may of last year after a bad break up and toxic binge use. I went home and after a month relapsed again because I wasn’t ready. Then I finally quit my job checked myself back into a 28 day rehab in October and then completed. I decided instead of going home to transfer into a long term program that I have flexibility to do things on my own. I sit here now going back to school for 2 different things and working towards getting an apartment with my roommates because we have supported each other through this journey. I say this because if you don’t feel inspired or feel down about a relapse don’t. Be proud that you are still here and have the chance to make your life better and enjoyable again. I’ve lost about 6 ppl I know in the last two months due to overdose, and 3 months ago 3 in one week. There’s fentanyl in a lot of things out there right now and the next time you use could be your last. Hopefully that gave some of you a reason to stay. Because it is giving me one. Have a wonderful and sober weekend everyone.
