Kids perspective

I am not sure what my kids perspective of the last decade, decade plus is- of them growing up with a dad that had an addiction problem with alcohol. Granted, it wasn’t always bad. I think I did a pretty good job. I’m not gonna lie, there were some bad days, well, maybe a lot of bad days…. But over the years, with treatment, counseling, learning more about addiction, still failing from time to time, but still climbing the ladder of moving forward, talking openly with them about it, I am staying positive that I am moving in the right direction.

Kids are so resilient and they love unconditionally. Having that open dialogue with them it's probably the most important thing that you could do. Proud of you, keep fighting this good fight.
