Was the topic for the F2F Men's BIP group yesterday. We watched a short film about by the same title. We watched a clip from The Great Santini, and I had them in pairs to role play being a kid who witnessed a DV event and also be an interviewer. My first class as a single facilitator and whow! What a great class. I am so grateful for the supervision I had over the past year and I am super grateful to have become who I am today. Being a CPRS is what I am. Being a recovering addict is part of who I am and I am super grateful for being able to recover outloud and share my lived experiences with others. One guy in the class told me I am a great teacher! heart smiles
I am grateful today for waking up sober. I am awake really early. I have a lot on my mind and heart today. I have to make an abuse report and these are never fun. I have mailed letters to my girls and they should get them today. Ugghhh the anquish of being accepted for who I am by them is heart wrenching.
I am grateful for another day sober. Looking foward to another day....realizing I may be the only smile or may be the one who offers something positive to their day makes me grateful to be sober and of service to others.
Grateful today for playing tug with Shiloh. She is so fun! She is learning to shake. Yippppeee!
