Last night at work

I went to sleep with a heavy heart. Last night while at work I discovered a gentleman sleep behind the wheel of his running car on a decline in drive way to his underground parking garage at his condo. I work there a security guard and lately we’ve been on high alert due to many car thefts there. So when I found him I attempted for five minutes to wake him to see if he was ok knocking on the window shaking the car yelling to wake him but was unsuccessful. I then seen his car was in the drive gear so I called for help. Ended up the guy was passed out drunk. He seem to have sobered up some while doing the sobriety swarmed with 15 police officers around him. But when that breathalyzer. Came out he went into cuffs. All I could hear and feel was the loud cry’s he let out about his son he has up in the house and expressed he couldn’t leave his son. This triggered my own thoughts of me battling that ugly evil f-n- alcohol. Being slumped over on side of road because I couldn’t drive home. All that it does is steal kills and destroys. Smh. The arrested him towed his car and called someone for the kid. Anyway in the long run I pray to God this wakes him up to the truth that alcohol ain’t it. That his life and son are worth more than that.

Yup it’s a lot more common than we think…. I’ve met plenty of people that passed out behind the wheel. I hope this wakes the man up gets the help he needs. :pray:t3:
