Laughable “Frightmares”

So i take hydroxyzine at night (as needed for anxiety) helps me sleep. But what’s been happening more often than not are a series of odd dreams that would constitute nightmares possibly if it werent for the meds :joy:

Dreams where I’m running from something dangerous and I somehow remain oddly calm or just on the brink of panic but never freak out :joy:

Last night was a dream about a friend signing to Gucci Mane and something happened involving disrespect and money, and Mr. Mane was not too happy. He was finna “put (my friend) in a coffin.” Something was also trying to capture and trap me or something before that, and i kept just barely evading them.

—Long story medium, I woke up like “what the EFF was that? :joy::joy::joy::joy:” I think its the meds lol

Dreams are a trip sometimes. I think some of my nightmares are why drinking myself to sleep was a reasonable activity. Now when I have a bad enough one that wakes me up I have to meditate first thing to get my mind calmed down and back in check. Melatonin gives me wild dreams and nightmares so I'd definitely assume meditation could too.

Sugar before bed can definitely set you up for a wild dream or two as well. But yeah I feel you man. I’m just glad I’m able to see the humor in it nowadays  and melatonin would def help with some sleep but most people build up a tolerance quickly
