Learning to say NO

I work at a hotel. Theres is always alcohol in my face. Everywhere I turn. The amount of drinks i have turned down throughout this work week makes me proud. I did not go through those cold sweats, shakes, hallucinations, and nightmares just to get put right back into those liquid handcuffs. I'm trying to set myself free!
Day by day, that's the motto :100:

No is a very powerful word. Be proud of yourself. Freedom is the promise. Liquid handcuffs... Good analogy.
I tell people I have an allergy. I break out in handcuffs.

Dang. It's like my Mom used to tell me once she got sober ,"When you're done. That's it. You are just done." Thank you, and you stay strong too :100:
