I think since I engaged with y'all on here and provide support, I think it'd be beneficial for everyone to know who I am. :grinning:

  • I love meeting people
  • I have 1 kiddo
  • I became a widow this year
  • Indian, Thai, and Vietnamese are my favorite cuisines
  • I'm one of the shortest grandchildren on my mom's side of the family
  • Christmas is my favorite holiday
  • I'm not an outdoorsy kind of person
  • Spring is my favorite season
  • I love to be a passenger princess :princess:

I am sorry to hear about your loss Amanda. That must be hard, I cannot even imagine!

Thai is my absolute favorite cuisine. I also like Italian, and Indian a lot! And food in general... :smiley:

Thank you as always for all of your help and support. It must feel quite rewarding to serve in such a community with such need yet an organization with such a tremendous impact.

It's extremely hard. The hardest experience of my life. My heart breaks for my daughter because she lost her dad when she was only 9 months old. When she looks through photos and have her own memories- she'll always be reminded that her dad wasn't there. It truly breaks my heart to know that she'll only be able to experience her dad through others' stories.

I love home cooked Italian from those actually from Italy. Other than that, I'm not a fan. :joy::joy:

I'm glad I get to be here with y'all. We're family now.

Hello. Thank you for posting Amanda. I’m sorry for your loss.
I was told by my sponsor that the why doesn’t matter, it just is. I’m especially grateful for your post because it reminds me of the part in the Big Book where it says we can and do recover regardless of circumstances. A miracle for sure.
It is awesome that you are sober and there for your family. Also, you have great taste in food, holidays, and seasons. :grin:

And thank you for complimenting my taste. I'm a foodie and have a hard time dealing with adults who eat chicken tenders and french fries :fries:

Thanks, Mandy. I'm glad we're food buddies, too. What are your favorite Thai and Vietnamese dishes? Thai fried rice and Vietnamese pho are my faves.

For Thai I love a spicy pad thai or Pad see ew. Vietnamese can’t go wrong with pho or a vermicelli noodle bowl. Yummmm now I want Thai…
