Let this be my last restart towards sobriety…

Let this be my last restart towards sobriety and my last attempt at living AF for the remainder of my life!

For me, one drink is too many. One drink can turn into three, or it doesn’t but still my mind and body are just off. I think psychologically I trick myself into believing I should be able to handle a couple drinks because “everyone else does,” but then I don’t sleep and the following day I am more than sluggish and almost ill. I’ve become more annoyed than anything and there is no denying that I am happier and healthier when I don’t drink.

I would have been 100 days on my birthday this year until a major job stressor took ahold of me but I am on the other side of that and stronger and so I am hoping to make the same strides toward living an AF life!

Hope you can find a balance. One is to many, and a thousand never enough as they say.

Get to a program of some sort. Any program. The more tools you have to use the easier it is to be sober.

Thanks for sharing. Nice to hear from people that I can relate to as I am walking g the same path.

Hello Jessa, I can easily relate as many of us can. Education really helped me understand what's going on. I recommend reading Alcohol Explained by William Porter it's easy to read and understand what alcohol does to keep you addicted. Gillian Tietz has a website and podcast Sober Powered she explains first hand what going on in mind and body. It really helped me deal with my head.
