Letting my baby sister stay locked up is killing me but shes so young and doesn’t wanna stop it seems im confused but grateful to wake another day

Leave her where she's at. She needs to learn the hard way and take responsibility for her actions. If you cuddle her you'll bury her.
Why is it "killing" you? Her actions are not your problem. It's her circus and her monkeys.... Not yours.
I am leaving her there and that’s not what hurts what hurts is I lost my baby sister, my first daughter to this insidious disease

Alcoholics & drug addicts make good enablers. Better to leave her there
Don't give up hope. Leed by example. Hopefully, She'll see the changes in you can come around .

You don't let people stay locked up. They're facing their consequences. Just be there for her and find out what she wants to do for her recovery. I've learned you can't make someone want to change. They have to be willing. In the meantime, work on you so that you can hold boundaries, be supportive, and help her when she's ready to do the work.
