It's been a wild ride so far. Almost 18 months sober, and so much had happened. I received my exit date from rehab. I've been attending since day 4 of sobriety. I went from detox, straight to housing. From housing to sheesh! Over a year of IOP. I lived so many years in financial neglect, debts piling and no concern to face it ever. Now, in the past few months; I shoveled my way out of all the negative impacts on my credit report. Today I just signed the finance papers to a new car. 18 months ago I never saw this coming.
I was told I needed to change one thing to get this far. So I did, I changed everything about me, my thinking, and my habits through the grace of the 12 steps, rehab, therapy, network of solid dudes, family coming back and all of us healing. One day at a time has become easier as time went on. Truly grateful today, man! My minds blown!
