Living life on life's terms

Grateful for 52 days clean & I was able to stay clean for my first 30 days with the adversities that I had to face, my 1st bellybutton bday clean since 1988, my husband's death-aversary 3years July 22nd, 1st one clean, and lastly a terrible fall which put me in the ER with multiple injuries, including cracked my radial head (left elbow) & majorly bruised my left hip & thumb! I'm grateful I told the ER Dr I'm an addict as I didn't want to risk an opiate prescription, even though it wouldn't be considered a relapse if I took as prescribed, I was scared, as it was the 1st time it was 1st time I craved my DOC since 11-28-22. I didn't want to go down that slippery slope. Grateful for my HP giving me the strength to tell Dr the truth, I'm an addict! Still in pain & going through PT,
Grateful I don't need surgery on my elbow cuz it was not displaced, I "just" cracked it!

Congratulations Sarah, hang in there and call on your sober support system as often as you can.

Thanks for the positive words, and I am heading into an NA meeting right now!
