Brandon, you said no one invites you or reaches out.
Have you invited anyone and reached out? Do you have a home group? Are you attending meetings nearly every day? Are you sponsoring other alcoholics? Are you doing service work? ie) greeting before the meeting, staying after to cleanup, chairing meetings, etc.
We get out of Alcoholics Anonymous what we put into it. Since getting sober I’ve never had so many friends and my calendar fills up quickly. That’s because I make an effort and stay active in my home group and always stay plugged in.
The loneliness you’re feeling will lead you back into the self pity and self loathing old self. It’s the same feelings we dealt with before we came to Alcoholics Anonymous. Unless you get a plan of action, you will drink again
What is your prayer life like? Are you staying spiritually filled? I suggest you pray and meditate all day throughout the day. Start your day with the meditation books and readings. Pray and talk to God. Meditate and listen.
Some ways to get spiritually filled that I use…
•attend and volunteer at a place of worship
•listen to open talks and podcasts on Utube of Alcoholics Anonymous frequently at home
•attend AA retreats in your state.
•listen to spiritual music
•read spiritual books that will lift you up
•Most importantly… sponsor, sponsor, sponsor.
I can’t tell you the friendships and miracles I’ve experienced.,
I believe if you take my suggestions your calendar will fill up. Best wishes.
