It seems loneliness is a common thread amongst many of us. I know all the usual answers (get out, join a group, go to church, etc..) but it’s not that easy. Making new friends at middle age isn’t the easiest. Thankfully I have a good AA group, but I don’t want it to be my only social activity. Dating is a nightmare, even harder in recovery. Just venting, I’ve been feeling it a lot lately.

I have a mail order bride.
Actually she's a blow up doll. But one of the really lifelike ones. Okay, maybe not THAT lifelike. And maybe she's more of a sheep shape and less of a human shape. I really wish they would put the seams in better places. Ouch...
I haven’t dated in 5 years. I got a dog. He needs me. He helps things a bit.
