Mother is the most important person in kids life so I know you will get her back
I can really relate in alot of ways,I haven't got any real friends and no family. So when I need support there's nobody to reach out too. The loneliness only seems to get worse with the more sobriety I have. I will continue searching for answers within the program and pray for the best.
Yes being sober really brings attention to lonliness.
Thank you!
I feel you⦠but I know your a winner and you will find someone that you can call a real friend itās hard to get out and socialize for now but give time some more time. Wishing you the best stay strong
I broke down and called my ex boyfriend to come snuggle me. I dont think I can keep going being this lonely. It's just been so much and I'm handling more than i can handle alone. Trying to keep up with it all got me to overdoing eveything and now I've pushed myself into a breakdown.
Wishing you the very best
Exactly. You're doing everything you can. In other words, you're handling life and staying sober. As time goes by and you build more time, when you get up to tell your story all these events that are going on in your life that you manage to stay sober through will become part of your story.
Also
Not everything that happens to us is our fault. It's a screwed up world that we live in. So don't beat yourself up. Count your blessings. Everybody's got blessings. And no matter how bad we think our life is, it can always be worse.
I'm a truck driver. Sometimes I deliver cars in questionable neighborhoods. The other day when I came to a stop at the end of an exit ramp. There was panhandling on every corner of that stop. Not sure how those people got there in their lives. All I know is they were there and I wasn't.
Glad to be sober!

I understand.. life isnāt easy by no means.. Iāve been clean for 3 years but I have to fight with my brother and sister who live next door just to get thru each day.. they are both addicts.. doesnāt matter which door I go out all I can smell is dope.. Iām all alone in my sobriety.. I have a couple friends who I talk to but itās like they donāt care unless they want something.. I feel completely alone too.. but Iām taking one day at a time.. Iām praying for you.. turn it over to God..
Okay I see what you mean
Yes. I am definitely trying so hard to not be out of a home. I wouldnt survive in shelter life or on the streets. I'm exhausted.
I am so sorry to hear. I couldnt imagine seeing my family using daily. Then on top of that being alone. Some of us arent given as much opportunities to have people around us. This is true for me regardless of drinking or not. I think your situation sounds very very difficult. Good for you taking jt one day at a time and keeping that sober train going. I'm proud of you. I have my son still and if it werent for him I'd probably not make it through eveything I have been going through .
Emily, I donāt have any kids.. I had cancer when I was 20.. Iāve had cancer 5 times but the good Lord has a plan for me.. I still havenāt figured out what yet but I know Iām here for a reason.. Iāll be 68 next week.. I guess me helping others is my life.. I lost my Buster a couple months ago.. my boxer dog.. I sure do miss him.. I have a house full of cats now.. I stay busy taking care of them.. Iāve never been a cat person but I couldnāt just throw them out in the cold..or the heat.. thank you for your thoughts..
