Looking for a real sponsor not some dude that’s just trying to hit on me open to male or female I need someone I can depend on

Just keep it simple…No dude sponsors. If you can’t find one on here, try some women’s only zoom meetings. Just a suggestion…

If a guy is your sponsor and tries hitting on u then he isn’t the sponsor for u …. You’ll find the right one …

Assuming you are interested in a 12 Step program, you may want to consider an in person women's meeting in your local area if that's an option.

What everyone else said. Get a female sponsor. Go to women's meetings. Observe comments made by the women there and ask someone who is relatable to sponsor you.

Men with men and women with women. The guy was a loser for saying yes to begin with. Anytime you get men and women together there will be natural
attractions and thats
actually wonderful. Not for a sponsor. Too much at risk. Make
going to one woman's meeting a week a priority. Same with
men going to a mens meeting once a week.
We need to work on our personal relationships which requires both sexes....but you also need that boys or girls time.

It is heteronormative but
it is just a general guideline in AA that the sponsor be of the same gender to avoid potential shenanigans. But if the gentlewoman above is a lesbian, she should choose a male. Regardless of gender or sexual proclivity, the sponsor needs replaced if they ever cross the line in that regard. The sponsee can't control the proclivities of the sponsor; they can only make a choice based on their own proclivities to minimize the potential for shenanigans or impropriety. At least, this is how I understand the concept.

So u should try a na zoom meeting I go to one every morning, if u want the id is 6572046389 password is just4today all lowercase, I’ve found 2 sponsors that actually give a frick and they’re females. U kno they go by girls with girls n boys with the boys kinda thing. They’re amazing hope this helps. Just download zoom on ur App Store if ur don’t already have it
Go to a speaker meeting where there is real time, when they ask for one during announcements. It may seem really intrusive but you’ll get real people looking to help.
Technically you are 100% correct. In reality though, it’s unfortunately more likely to go sideways.
