It’s more less having someone there I can talk to when I’m triggered or wanting a drink.

Right, so the best way to find a sponsor is at the AA meetings. Go to the women’s group and listen. If there’s someone there that you can relate to, ask them to sponsor you.

Also, when you’re at the women’s meeting ask for a phone list. They should have all the phone numbers of the women in the group. If you feel like drinking or you’re triggered then call the numbers. Keep calling numbers until someone answers. They will help you.

Good advice from Matt. Women’s groups are very supportive. I received a phone list my first meeting. And at the meeting they sometimes will ask a show of people willing to sponsor. And ask about those In need of one
