Looking for more sober community and friends. I have been around the rooms for about 3 years and it’s been a challenge to get long term sobriety(the most time I’ve ever had is 6 months). Ik this is for me and feel ive been humbled enough to commit to this and be patient with the results. Today is day 33 and I plan to keep coming back! Blessings to all🙏🏿

Nice man, keep up the good work. The best way I’m finding community is in meetings - but this app is great as well, tend to see a lot of the same faces. HMU if you ever need anything :handshake::pray:t3:

Thanks for this Parker. The meetings have definitely been helpful and I’m diving into the fellowship more this time around but still fill like it’s not enough at times. Early sobriety is hard and all kinds of emotions come up so trying to set up more guardrails and support for myself. Going to meetings and sharing more honestly is a good start.

I'm in AGREEMENT THAT YOUR DRINKING AND USING CAREER HAS BEEN RUINED AND RECOVERY HAS BECOME VERY PERSONAL FOR YOU. :100: PERCENT COMMITMENT NO MATTER WHAT. I GOT SOBER AT 23 AND DID 40 MONTHS OF DRUG AND ALCOHOL TREATMENT AND I WAS DIAGNOSED AS A MIDDLE STAGE WETBRAIN ALCOHOLIC WITH A DRUG PROBLEM... TODAY I'M IN YEAR 37.. IS EVERYTHING PERFECT... NO.. DO I HAVE PROBLEMS... YES. YOU CAN DO THIS 1 DAY AT A TIME.. LET'S STEP INTO THE YEAR 2025 ON A GOOD NOTE. DOES IT TAKE COURAGE... ABSOLUTELY. YOU CAN DO THIS

When I don’t drink coffee or Energy Drinks I feel I can’t function then I have stomach issues r/ t the caffeine and vitamins in the drinks but they get me going! But then I have a hard time sleeping so I then must take sleeping pills? I need help?

Congrats

It’s awesome that you’re seeking more connection, George. Building a sober network takes time, but you’re in the right place. Keep showing up, you’ve got this.
