Looking to help raise kids

Hi there, I have 13 years sober from alcohol and over ten years sober from weed.

I'm looking to help raise kids in a substantial way, and even thought about seriously foster parenting, but have only a little work history.

I’ve thought about fostering as well. It’s a great way to invest in the lives of others. I wasn’t able to do it because I travel for my job and didn’t have the ability to keep children for a sustained amount of time.

Someone gave me an awesome compliment today. An associate after hearing some of my story said that I should consider becoming a mentor. I was taken back in a good way and need to think about that one. :smiley:

Huayra, 13 years sober is huge. I wouldn’t count yourself out over the work history without asking first. You’ve lived a lot of life in those years, and there may be more than one way for you to show up for kids in a real way.
