Loosid Sober Tip of the Day April 21

In unity there is strength.

Whether you are entering recovery for the first time or have been in recovery for a while, it is always important to always keep in mind that, on our own, we are in big trouble.

Alcoholism and addiction are diseases of isolation and it is imperative that you connect with others who are on the same journey.

Why? Because you need to know that you are not alone. There are millions of people who share the same common bond as you.

Though all of our experiences may be different, the feelings of isolation and needing to get of the now remain the same.

Take the time today to connect with others who are on this journey with you. Once you do, you will never be alone again.

In unity there is strength. Alone we are nothing. Together, there is nothing we cannot achieve.

How did this tip resonate with you? Let us know your thoughts below. There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

We all need the steps and traditions. New or old, alike we are all the same in addictions.

A disease of isolation….so true. I’d want the shades shut and just melt into an escape everyday. The message today is greatly appreciated.

United we stand, divided we fall. It's all about unity and finding the commonality, not the differences. Love and light to you all.

I needed this reminder, Thanks

Thank you I’m definitely a quick forgetter.

We are love

Yes it was encouraging I need to hear that like every day because it's not easy sometimes staying sober when you have history of abusing drugs and alcohol addiction is real but with help of others who are on the same page as you it's a beautiful thing so with that being said I'm grateful for loosid

Yes please!

Love is all around you!

In the early days, we we had posies. We went to meetings together, coffee and even potlucks. Everything was done together and even staying sober. Today, we don't see each other that often, but when we do, it's like it was 40 years ago. I would recommend you find your posse. Whether that's young people, men's meeting or LBGTQ+ the power is in the unity of each other.
