Loosid Sober Tip of the Day August 8

I NEED HELP.

These three simple words are the most powerful words in recovery.

Remember, there is no graduation date in recovery. Every day we have the ability to learn more and put more ammunition in our spiritual toolkit.

No matter the length of our sobriety, there will invariably be times that we need help.

Whether you are starting your journey, or are long into your recovery, always put yourself in a learning mindset.

The first thing you need to remember is, when you are struggling, say the three words that no addict wants to say. These are the same three words that save us one day at a time for the rest of our lives.

They are also the same three words that started us on our sober journey.

The courage in recovery comes from our ability to be vulnerable. It’s OK not to be OK.

Just for today, have the courage to ask for help if you are struggling. You will be surprised how many people are there to support you when you do.

If you are willing to give help, reach out to your sober network to see how you can be of service. We can’t keep it unless we give it away.

How did this tip resonate with you? Let us know your thoughts below. There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

Love this and soo true!

Asking for help has never been easy for me. It is a very humbling life lesson. I know God has been trying to teach me so many things, but the only way I could learn was to be completely broken.

It's hard for me as well. What makes it easier is knowing that there is help out there from persons and from God and that it is desired to be given to me.

Anything I can do to help?

I don’t ask for help. I’m learning and will at some point but I’ve taken care of everything my whole life.
I’ll get there.
Great tip b

The only way I stay sober is pray and have faith that God will give me strength.. He took the desire away.. but when I’m stressed I still think about it.. when I feel like I want a drink I go to a meeting.. and have the support of my fellow AA members..!! I know I’m not the only one out there that goes thru this..!!

I’ve asked for help and no one helps
