Loosid Sober Tip of the Day January 28

In unity there is strength.

Whether you are entering recovery for the first time or have been in recovery for a while, it is always important to always keep in mind that, on our own, we are in big trouble.

Alcoholism and addiction are diseases of isolation and it is imperative that you connect with others who are on the same journey.

Why? Because you need to know that you are not alone. There are millions of people who share the same common bond as you.

Though all of our experiences may be different, the feelings of isolation and needing to get of the now remain the same.

Take the time today to connect with others who are on this journey with you. Once you do, you will never be alone again.

In unity there is strength. Alone we are nothing. Together, there is nothing we cannot achieve.

Yes I have learned the hard way. Trying to stay sober has been a huge challenge. In 6 weeks I have had 3 short lived slips lasting 2-5 days. I feel lost.

Very tru until I got a network of people in recovery I wasn’t able to proceed as far as I have today I always would relapse because I had no one to talk to bout the issues I was battling

Keep marching on

Hey Joanne, take those slips as experience. Why did it happen. Never give up. Wait for the miracle to happen.

Something I definitely needed to hear because I have slowly been isolating and backing away from my recovery circles and I can feel a difference

I've been sober a little over a month now and this app helps allot because I read the sober tips every morning and read the comments and I can honestly say I'm grateful for all you folks and hearing your stories they are what keep me going and motivated

I agree with that statement so for me I stay active with my job and attending meetings when I can also doing Bible study it helps me when I get caught up in my thoughts because I know if I stay complacid my mind will take me to somewhere else

I think that's actually really impressive. Only 3 slip ups in 6 weeks. This is so hard...Like I was 3 months clean and then caught COVID and self medicated for like and then I was like a week in before stopping again and now I'm going onto week 2 of nothing but I'm having mad cravings...

Thank you guys and gals. I appreciate your support and guidance
