Loosid Sober Tip of the Day January 9

The world record for sobriety is 24 hours and nobody’s broken it yet.

This short tip contains perhaps the most powerful message we will ever hear in recovery.

Many people come into recovery thinking, ‘how can I live the rest of my life without drinking or drugging?’

The answer is… you don’t have to.

There is absolutely no need to worry about whether we will drink tomorrow, next week, or next year.

Make a commitment to not pick up a drink or drug just for today. That’s all we need. All we ever will need.

Very inspiring

One day at a time....

Thank God for another day clean

Thanks.. I needed that!

Well stated

It took several months of sobriety before I came to understand and believe.

One day and in some cases one minute one hour. That’s all we have. Let’s focus on that live in the moment.

Thanks for the reminder today!

I used to ask this question everyday? Until my addiction brought me to my knees? I was miserable and I asked God for help? It's been a very long road but I finally surrendered! I realize God is doing for me what I could not do for myself. Thank you :kissing_heart:

I start each day talking to my higher power just like I talk to a friend I thank him for waking me ask for guidance throughout the day and the knowledge to help somebody else it might sound a little crazy but for a little over 10 years it's been working for me

Reminds me of the “Just For Today” readings from rehab.

I take it one day at a time and when that gets too hard I take it one hour at a time

Definitely takes the long term pressure off to not drink and puts it back into the present moment/day.

Yes :raised_hands:t3: great tip! Just one more 24 hour experience of living sober…
