Loosid Sober Tip of the Day July 10

I NEED HELP.

These three simple words are the most powerful words in recovery.

Remember, there is no graduation date in recovery. Every day we have the ability to learn more and put more ammunition in our spiritual toolkit.

No matter the length of our sobriety, there will invariably be times that we need help.Whether you are starting your journey, or are long into your recovery, always put yourself in a learning mindset.

The first thing you need to remember is, when you are struggling, say the three words that no addict wants to say. These are the same three words that save us one day at a time for the rest of our lives.

They are also the same three words that started us on our sober journey.The courage in recovery comes from our ability to be vulnerable. It’s OK not to be OK.

Just for today, have the courage to ask for help if you are struggling. You will be surprised how many people are there to support you when you do.

If you are willing to give help, reach out to your sober network to see how you can be of service. We can’t keep it unless we give it away.

How did this tip resonate with you? Let us know your thoughts below. There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

Honesty is a game changer. That word does not just mean regarding my dealings with others, it means being honest with myself. I am aware of step 1 everyday. And I know I need help in certain areas. My biggest challenge is managing my depression, which I need professional clinical therapy for. But whatever my struggle, I don't sugarcoat it. There is too much at stake. And of course humility is related to honesty.

I love the part that you can't keep it until you give it away. I do need help each and every day. Whether I ask my higher power or my husband or one of my sober friends. I know I am not doing this on my own.
