Loosid Sober Tip of the Day July 15

Connecting with others to help throughout our recovery journey is one of the most essential parts of living a fulfilling sober life.

As we continue into the fourth day of expanding our personal growth through life’s challenges and opportunities, take the time today to do a quick review of the progress you have made.

What does your list look like?

You will find that many items on your list contain challenges that include resentment against others that you have not let go.

You may also find the challenge resides in something you did that you need to clean up.

It may also be a fear inside of you that is holding you back.

This is a great time to connect with someone who has gone through the spiritual work.

In 12-Step Groups, this is most often done with your sponsor.

Whether the person you reach out to is in a 12-step program or follows another spiritual path does not matter. The only thing that matters is that you get the help and support to free you from what is blocking you.

Today, take the time to reach out to another sober individual who can help you.

If you are new to recovery and don’t know anyone, post in the comments section below and ask for help. You can also post on the home page in the Loosid community.

You will find that there is always help. The only thing required is to ask.

If you are reading this and have gone through the spiritual work, reach out to others below who need your help. As I’m sure you are aware, the only way we can keep our sobriety is to give back what was so freely given to us.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

Good morning and good luck to all my sober friends getting through this day, and it’s one day at a time as you know. I am new to this site and have been sober one year next week which isn’t easy but self fulfilling as I look back

Ty, :pray:t3:

thank you guys so very much

After having a spiritual awakening I can say doing this part of the work is a must. We are only as sick as our secrets. Putting down on paper our resentments, fears, harms, or whatever we need to talk about that’s stewing around in our heads is a must. I’m not perfect, I don’t always write stuff down. But I can feel it when I go a few days without doing an inventory.
Writing it down is 1/3 of the process. We must talk with our higher power about what we’ve wrote down. Then we share it with a trusted friend. This is most likely your sponsor. With my experience if shared with the group here, at meetings, with my sponsees and with my Sponsor’s sponsor! :joy: it’s all up to you who you want to share with. I’m learning who I can share what with. Not everyone needs to know things, but at least one person does… that’s how I’m able to get outside of my self. So I can be of maximum service to all of you….
Have a blessed day filled with love and peace within my friends.

I’m get’n ready to go to my AA meeting.. but I’d like to comment on resentment.. I have some that I don’t think I’ll get over.. from years ago…I’ve gone they the 12 steps and have a relationship with God.. I pray about these resentments a lot.. they have nothing to do with when I drank or did drugs.. I had them long before when I was a kid against my siblings.. I still see them..I still do for them.. because I know it’s wrong to hold things against others.. but they don’t like me unless I can do something for them..!! I pray I can get over these feelings.. and maybe I will one day.. I can tell my story to the world and it doesn’t help.. but I haven’t had a drink in over 20 years and been clean 3 years..
I can help people by telling them my story and how I get thru it.. one day at a time and only by the grace of God..!!

Nice!
