Loosid Sober Tip of the Day Jun 24

Moving from being sober to getting sober requires us to start working a spiritual program.

We have removed the ‘spirits’ and need to replace it with spirituality.

In 12-Step Groups, this consists of Unity (meetings and fellowship), Service (to others), and the 12 steps.

Whatever the spiritual program, you need to enter it quickly. If we sit in the seat of sobriety and not embark on a spiritual program, we will stay in pain.

If you have questions on what to do, ask in the comment section below. The Loosid community is here to help you.

If you have been sober for a while and are working a spiritual program, help the newcomers by sharing your experience below.

There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

12 steps aren't for everyone and I'm living proof of that. 12 years clean sober great community and support. Social anxiety and privacy concerns were a huge reason I didn't go. Working in rehabs I've seen soo many people lose their self bc it was suppose to be safe in group and just in that small setting that person gets harassed judged and needs to leave. Please understand you can only get sober for you... But who it effects is wonderful.

Nope.

The same thing happened in AA for me. It took me several weeks to open up and when I did, a man stood up and ripped me apart. I cannot take the chance of ever doing that again. That experience sent me into a tail spin.

If you want it You can do it.Focus,positive,and believe in yourself.

I relapsed after 13 years about a year ago now I have 5 months.

I can't drink anymore due to I blacked out on a few drinks while homeless and had some haulcinations but I still just like doing this loocid!!!

I go to R@w NA (Recovery at Work) I worked each step slowly built my foundation. Each step frees you a little more. You find out things that never made sense. We believe in something greater than ourselves. I’m working step 9. Ready to right my wrongs to family members and myself. I would recommend NA/AA to anyone one. I like NA atmosphere and it’s for the addict and the alcoholic that suffers just work and recovery no matter what.
