Loosid Sober Tip of the Day June 12

Finding the good in YOU.

Yesterday, we looked at finding the good in others. Hopefully, that has given you some very strong relief and freed up quite a bit of wasted energy on anger and resentment.

As we have heard countless times, resentment is the #1 offender.

Quite often, the person we most resent most in life is ourselves.

Just for today, focus on the good in you.

Most of us have harmed many people in our active addiction and have a hard time forgiving ourselves for what we have done.

Just for today, focus on the actions you have taken now that you have entered a new journey.

What have you done to be of service to others? What have you done that started you on this spiritual path?

If you are still new or are in active addiction, just by reading this daily tip shows great willingness to change. That is GOOD. Very GOOD.

If nothing comes to mind, think of what good you can do today to help others. Think of what good you can do to learn more about the path to recovery.

If you are confused or don’t know where to start, post below any questions you may have.

If you have been around a bit, please share with the community the GOOD about you and what you have been able to do since entering recovery.

There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

Thank you Loosid, your right. I have been taking the steps to get on a better, smarter journey and I'm thankful that I saw in myself that I need to get rid of the ugly of me and bring forth the great in me. It's time. I'm doing it, we're doing it. We Do Recover

Doing the steps, actually doing them working them is a lot of hard work but has completely changed my life.
By helping others I have been so fortunate and blessed I am still in disbelief. However I have “let go let god” and this morning I am blessed to have woken up in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen, lake shore Fallen Leaf Lake in South Lake Tahoe as if waking up Monday morning in Captain Cook Hawaii isn’t good enough.
Love my HP who I call god, love my sobriety second and finally love and enjoy my life.
I am blessed to work like this and I’m just a once drunk contractor :man_shrugging:t3:.

Since I became sober at the beginning of 2022,
I began fostering animals and giving back to my community and various projects, labors of love-more.

I have always been a caring and kind individual, while was hardly present for my own life and for others during a 15 year period-where I was drinking heavily.

Hopefully, for my remaining days on this physical plane, I can continue to be of service to animals, other humans, to-towards the gorgeous natural beauty surrounding us…which we need to help preserve.

Presence is a gift, one of many…which sobriety gives you.
