Loosid Sober Tip of the Day June 23

Put down the bat, take out the feather.

We are often so hard on ourselves that it is no wonder why often find ourselves out of serenity.

There is a saying in recovery, “If anyone treated me the way I treat myself, I would not tolerate it.”

Today would be a great time to remind yourself to put down the bat and take out the feather.

Whether you are in the beginning of your journey or 30 years in, we must make sure we treat ourselves with dignity and grace. Be gentle on yourself today.

Like Dylan said love this

I’m definitely hard on myself…. I’m putting down the bat and picking up the feather! Good message really needed to hear this! Day 2

I appreciate the concept but I know that if I’ve done wrong things I’ve got to spend the rest of my life proving that I’m not that person anymore and if I start forgiving myself too much I’ll forgive myself right into finishing a bottle

I love that metaphor. It is something I truly need to take into perspective.
