Loosid Sober Tip of the Day March 01

Much like we must learn how to handle resentment on a daily basis, we must also do the same with fear.

In recovery, there are a few strong acronyms we use for fear. One concentrates how we often let something that has not yet happened and may never happen run our lives.

F-E-A-R.

False expectations appearing real.

We have discussed this quite a bit and now if we are to live a life of serenity, we must learn to avoid worrying about the future, in the same way we can never regret the past.

There is another beautiful, very powerful acronym for fear.

F-E-A-R.

Face everything and recover.

This is the key to the kingdom. So many of us do not want to lean in and look into what it is that is causing our fear.

The truth is, leaning in and facing everything is uncomfortable.

It is also true that facing everything and going through that level of discomfort is the only thing that allows us to get to the other side.

In 12-Step programs, this is done in our inventory in steps 4 & 5, and in our amends steps, which are 8 & 9.

Just for today, be open to the possibility of facing everything that is blocking you.

You owe it to yourself the gift of a beautiful life.

The pass is our greatest asset and we must let go of our pass in order to move forward. We share our pass so others might receive the help they need. It certainly does get better if we share our experiences strength and help.

Awakening every morning is a gift I have been given an opportunity to recover, heal , learn and push past the fears we are given a lot of tools in recovery learning to use them helps prepare you hard work and perseverance let a new way guide you through and no matter how hard some days feel you’ll now have what you need to keep going we so often tend to overlook things that we so need today making a list can help you stay grounded and on track make that list and keep moving forward a day at a time is what they teach you simple yet so accurate I hope everyone has a beautiful day :pray:t3::sparkles:

Right on time with this message. I refuse to let fear dictate my recovery, my sobriety, and my life. I have very clearly established a strong boundary against it. Doing so allows me to stay in alignment when I tend to stray too far off in either direction of my moral compass. :compass: Thank you!

I know I just relapsed due to being so hormonal from my recent miscarriage and being laid off work the past two weeks. Now today is my sons birthday and I have nothing to five.

One 24 hour cycle at one time. 618973RYAN if your thinkin about drinkin :facepunch:t3:

When I have a resentment or I am angry at something I usually can step back now and realize that fear is usually a factor in my case. Very :+1: good tip I definitely can resonate.....
