Loosid Sober Tip of the Day March 03

Moving from being sober to getting sober requires us to start working a spiritual program.

We have removed the ‘spirits’ and need to replace it with spirituality.

In 12-Step Groups, this consists of Unity (meetings and fellowship), Service (to others), and the 12 steps.

Whatever the spiritual program, you need to enter it quickly. If we sit in the seat of sobriety and not embark on a spiritual program, we will stay in pain.

If you have questions on what to do, ask in the comment section below. The Loosid community is here to help you.

If you have been sober for a while and are working a spiritual program, help the newcomers by sharing your experience below.

There are many people in the Loosid community who need to hear what you have to say.

With Love, Loosid :pray::heart:

I'm not a fan of AA, God bless those who are, are there other ways to embrace spirituality for sobriety? I attend church regularly and pray everyday, that definitely helps big time, and I do attribute my sobriety to spirituality and god. However, what more can I do outside of AA?

It’s a spiritual journey, not a religious one

Mother Earth! Love the faith I have now, it didn't happen overnight. Make a list of what you want your higher power to embody ex sense of humor, emphatic, forgiving etc.

I'm really tired of people insisting it has to be a spiritual journey. It is not inclusionary. For some of us it is a journey of the mind and no I will not just say my mind is my higher power to accommodate your need to have it fit into a program that may have worked for you but had quite the opposite effect for me. Your insistence on there only being one path is harmful. Shame on you.

Breath work and meditation. What are your thoughts on that? At first I wasn’t getting anything from it, but maybe on the 3rd time I was completely leveled, I felted serene.
